I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br /> <br /> B. In all other circumstances described in paragraph <br />one, the following procedure shall be followed: <br /> <br /> i. The unit of government which desires the police <br /> assistance, through its chief law enforcement officer, <br /> or his designee, hereinafter called requesting unit, <br /> may, at its discretion, call upon any other governmental <br /> unit party to Chis Agreement through its chief law <br /> enforcement officer, or his designee, hereinafter <br /> called the "sending unit", to furnish police, or other <br /> force, for the assistance of the receiving governmental <br /> unit and to request for such purpose personnel, equip- <br /> ment, and supplies of the sending governmental unit. <br /> <br /> ii. Upon the request of the receiving unit, the <br /> sending unit shall authorize and direct such persohnel, <br /> equipment, and supplies as, in its d'iscretion, ~are <br /> available to go to the assistance of .the receiving..~ <br /> unit. <br /> <br /> iii. The sending unit reserves the right to retain for' <br /> its own us~ such equipment, personnel, and supplies as, <br /> in its discretion may be necessary for its proper and <br /> adequate protection; and in case of an emergency <br /> arising within the sending unit while the~equipment, <br /> personnel and supplies of that city are engaged in the <br /> receiving unit, the sending unit may, in its discretion, <br /> recall such equipment, personnel, and supplies necessary <br /> to meet such emergency. <br /> <br /> iv. The sending unit maintains the ultimate control <br /> over the individuals dispatched as set forth above, but <br /> the on-site direction shall be under the control ~f the <br /> individual who has been designated by the receiving <br /> unit as being in control .9~ police functions over the <br /> situation.
