,I <br /> I <br /> <br />v. For all governmental units which do not have a <br />full time police officer, the County Sheriff is the <br />chief law enforcement officer of the governmental unit. <br />The Sheriff, or his designee, shall have full authority <br />under this Agreement to obtain the assistance of police <br />under the terms of this Agreement in such governmental <br />units. <br /> <br />1 <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I3. EXPENSES <br /> The sending unit shall be responsible for its own <br /> <br /> personnel, equipment, and supplies, including the payment of <br /> its personnel, and the receiving unit shall not be 'held <br /> liable for any injuries to personnel or damage to equipment <br /> of the sending unit, nor shall the receiving unit be required <br /> to reimburse the sending unit for supplies expended, used or <br /> damaged while so engaged, except that equipment and supplies <br /> shall be returned to the sending unit upon the return of the <br /> employees of the sending unit. Each governmental uait shall <br /> be responsible for the actions of its own personnelg <br /> <br />I4. LIMITATION <br /> In case weather, road conditions or other circumstances <br /> <br />I are such that, in the discretion of the sending unit, equipment, <br /> personnel, and supplies cannot be furnished to the receiving <br /> unit with reasonable safety, the sending unit may, in its <br /> discretion,, refuse to authorize and direct assistance to the <br /> receiving unit. The determination of the sending unit as to <br /> what assistance shall be furnished and whether assistance <br /> shall be withheld or withdrawn, as provided herein, shall be <br /> final and conclusive, and shall give rise to no liability on <br /> the part of the sending unit for failure to furnish assistance. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
