Study committees and project task forces v/ill address <br />issues containing within these general topics. The five topical areas are: <br /> <br /> 1. Techrlology and Job Creation ". <br /> 2. Technology Transfer <br /> 3. Technology in the Workplace <br /> 4. Technology and Education <br /> / .. <br /> <br /> 5. Technology and Public.Understandi <br /> <br />The Minnesota Wellspring Board of DirectOrs has also agreed on general criteria <br />for determining proposed activities. They include: <br /> <br />Wellspring projects should demonstrate collegiality and <br />creative collaboration across activity and interest <br />sectors. Activities should be undertaken in partnership <br />with other organizations and build linkages among persons <br />in business, labor, education, and government. <br /> <br />Projects selected should either: -" <br />. a. Support viable or promising projects already in place; or <br />b. Build on work occurring elsewhere; or <br />c. Bridge gaps where no one else has been able to meet an <br /> identified need. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Wellspring should focus its efforts on those activities which are <br />the most critical in stimulating the development and application <br />of technology for Minnesota-based jobs.' <br /> <br />"Technology" should be broadly defined as the process encompassing <br />the inception of an idea to its application in the workplace. <br /> <br />l~ellspring actions should emphasize the entrepreneurial spirit <br />and the ne~d for innovation, flexibility, and forward-thinking <br />activities.
