Our company <br />Federal Warning Systems,. inc. is in its 56t~ year representing Federal Signal .. <br />Corporation. Federal Signal is a. diversified NYSE-listed company that operates <br />the world's largest facility dedicated to the design and manufacture of public <br />warning and safety, signaling, and communication products. I have included a <br />copy of the 2003 Annual Stockholders Report. Federal Signal is a ISO 9001:2001 <br />Certified Corporation. I have included a copy of their certification. <br /> <br />I have included descriptive literature for the Federal 2001 which <br />has become the most purchased siren in the industry with over <br />12,000 units in service worldwide. I have included a 2001 Users <br />List for the 975+ units in our territory in case you had questions <br />regarding this sirens reliability or wanted to visit a neighbor on <br />test day to see one perform. Many of the larger systems in the <br />state are comprised of 2001 Sirens: Minneapolis, St. Cloud, <br />Burnsville, Rochester, Blaine, Elk River, Bloomington, Winona, <br />Maplewood, Minnetonka, Prior Lake, Alber[ Lea, Austin, Maple <br />Grove, etc. Last year Xcel .Energy (formerly NSP) purchased 150+ <br />2001DC's to replace the sirens in the Monticello and Prairie Island <br />Nuclear Power Plant EPZ Zones. <br /> <br />As discussed the 2001 Siren is available in AC, DC, and AC/DC models. The AC <br />model operates on 240-volt single phase power. If power is lost the siren will not <br />operate. The DC model operates on J, Delco Voyager M24MF batteries that are <br />constantly being charged by 120-volt power source.
