NOVEMBER 14, 1981 <br /> <br /> BUNKER HILLS ACTIVITY CENTER <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Robert W. Johnson at 8:30 A.M. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Otto Lind, Roger Coulthart, Bruce Nawrocki, Stuart Anderson, <br />Jim Hill, Clayton Hogie, Dennis Schneider, Dick Blomquist, Jerry Nelson, <br />Ed LaTuff, Dick Lang, Bill Hoogestraat, Don Dwyer, Ralph Talbot, <br />Ray Jones, Tom Gamec, Mike Auspos, R. W. Johnson, Bruce Wojack and <br />C. D. Van Dusen. <br /> <br />Mr. Johnson suggested everyone vocally present a "wish list" they <br />would like accomplished as a joint effort of %he Council. Two dis- <br />tinct items were brought forward: <br /> <br /> 1.A drug program should be ins%itu%ed for %he public <br /> and school systems, and <br /> <br /> 2. a new approach of the functional advisory section should <br /> be looked into. <br /> <br />Discussion was heard regarding the identification of short range and <br />long range goals, budget process, rules of procedure, levies, <br />membership to the Council of cities who currently have six (6) full- <br />time police officers and the Joint Law Enforcement Council Agreement. <br /> <br />Mr. Johnson submitted the following questions: <br /> <br />"Should there be an Anoka County Joint Law Enforcement Council?" <br />It was unanimously agreed it should continue to exist. <br /> <br />"What kind of commitment should be made to make it work?" <br />It was decided that a two-day session (one weekday and one <br />Saturday).would be held in January, 1982. It will be conducted <br />by a facilitator. R. W. Johnson will make arrangements to <br />obtain a facilitator and set up the dates for the sessions. <br /> <br />A recommendation was'made that the Cities of Ramsey, Circle Pines/ <br />Lexington and Lino Lakes should be invited to attend the above mentioned <br />sessions and defer ac%ual membership to the Council unt{1 after the <br />sessions are completed. <br /> <br />R. W. Johnson did a historical review of the original Anoka County <br />Joint ~aw Enforcement Council Agreement for the new members of the <br />Council. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at 11:40 a.m. <br /> <br />jr <br /> <br />Attachment: "Wish List" <br /> <br /> <br />
