PELTZER ADDITION \ ~..

On November 21, 1981, I received a lekter from your commission which
stated that you were appalled at the number of deficiencies on the
plat of R. A. PELTZER ADDITION. In response to this letter I would
like to say that I am appalled that your commission would even consider
forcing Mr. Peltzer to plat this lot.

Mr. Peltzer is a long time resident and tax payer in your city and
is only trying to build a house to live in while retired. The cost
for him to go through the entire platting procedure would be about
$2,000. I realize that in a plat where there are numerous building
sites and new road construction that a topographical survey and
preliminary plat are essential for the proper development of the
land. However, in this particular case for a one-lot plat on an
existing road I feel that this is unnecessary, expensive, and time
consuming for all those involved. By eliminating the topographical
survey and preliminary plat we saved Mr. Peltzer about $1,300.

I would also like to point out that on October 13, 1981, I personally
called Mr. Lloyd G. Schnelle, your City Administrator, and told him
that I would like to prepare a final plat for Mr. Peltzer and that
he would like to use the final plat as his preliminary:plat[; Mr.
Schnelle agreed that this should be sufficient for a oneLlot plat of
this type and to send it in. I then prepared a final plat which
contained all of the information which the State and County Will
allow. Furthermore, with or.without Mr.' Schnelle's consent, I would
have prepared the final if my client had so desired.

In conclusion, I would like to say that because of todays high interest
rates and the high cost of construction our company-will continue to try
to help our clients save as much as possible and we would hope that
your city would do the same for it's citizens.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey N. Caine, President
Caine and O'Malley Land Surveyors, Inc.

I

1
