I will allow 1% depreciation which the County will go along
with. On a $60,000 structural value in school district #11, the tax
increase would be $66.27. In district #728, the tax increase would
be $79.85. This is all calculated on the 1981 assessment laws and
the 1980 mill rates.

Clayton is working on percentage of completion on new construction
as he makes inspections throughout the City. If he hasn't finished
by January.2, I will finish it as I have the time.

By the time of the next meeting, I will have finished the bookwork
on the first five books. This is approximately 25% of the books.
Depending on when the County wants the books, it appears that I will
be able to complete the bookwork without too much help.

The annual Institute for Building Officials will be held January 13 -
15. I plan on attending because this is practica/ly the only affiliation
I get all year as far as meetings for building officials. I never seem
to have the time to attend North Star meetings. The registration fee
is $75.00.

This concludes my report.

Submitted by,

Lester D. Wirz
City Assessor

/po
