<br /> TOWLE NAMED LISTING AGENT
<br /> FOR MUNSINGWEAR COMPLEX . . .
<br /> Resource Management Corporation, Minneapolis, acting as
<br /> advisor to Munsingwcar, Inc., has appointed The Towle Real
<br /> Estate Company exclusive listing agents for the safe of the
<br />Munsingw(~ar complex at 718 Glenwood Avenue in Minneapolis.
<br /> The announcement was madeby William S. Roiling, president of
<br /> Towle Real Estate. Munsingwear plans to move its corporate
<br /> headquarters to the IBM building Ideated at 245 Marquette
<br /> Avenue, Minneapolis, early in 1982.
<br />
<br /> The multi-story office/warehouse buildings can easily be adapted
<br /> to a w/de variety of uses. According to Mark Brill, ToMe sales
<br /> associate, the potential of the Munsingwear buildings to
<br /> redevelopments like Ghiradelli Square in San Francisco, Faneuil
<br /> Hall and The Chickering Piano Factory in Boston, and Station
<br /> Square in Pittsburgh is excellent.
<br />
<br /> Constructed of poured concrete, the Munsingwear properties
<br /> feature maple flooring and exposed brick walls which add to the
<br /> charm of a turn-of-thc-century renovation project. The five multi-
<br /> story buildings in the complex were constructed between 1905 and
<br /> 1915. The approximately nine acres of land space includes more
<br /> than 500 parking spaces.

<br /> manager for the office/warehouse division of the company's
<br /> Property Management Department. Flavin was formerly a
<br /> property manager for the Care Corporation of St. Paul.

<br /> agent of the BLN Office Park in Bloomington. Solberg was an
<br /> administrative assistant in the Property Management Depart-

<br /> . RYAN TO DESIGN & BUILD $4
<br /> ILLION SPERRY UNIVAC PROJECT
<br /> erry Univac of Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, a division of Sperry
<br /> Univac of New York, and Ryan Construction of Minneapolis
<br /> Iave signed a design/build, turn-key lease agreement for Sperry
<br /> nivac's new computer reconditioning center in Mendota
<br /> eights, Minnesota. According to James R. Ryan, president of
<br /> the Minneapolis-based firm of Ryan Construction, the $4 million
<br /> ievelopment calls for the design and construction of a 127,796
<br />
<br />square foot single-story building to be located on a 12-acre site at
<br />Lexington Avenue and Mendota Heights Road in St. Paul.
<br />
<br />Financing of the Sperry project was arranged with industrial
<br />revenue bonds issued and sold by the City of Mendota Heights.
<br />Construction is scheduled to begin immediately with completion
<br />scheduled for March of 1982. When in operation, some 100 are
<br />expected to be employed at the new facilities with an annual
<br />payroll of more than $2.5 million.

<br />RYAN NAMES PROJECT ENGINEERS
<br />Steve W. Kingery of BurnsviIle, Minnesota, and Paul F.
<br />Reinke of St. Paul, Minnesota have been named to the
<br />professional staff of Ryan Construction Co. of Minneapolis.
<br />According to John L. Sullivan, general manager, Kingery and
<br />Reinke will serve as Project Engineers and will coordinate
<br />construction activities among architects, engineers, sub-
<br />contractors, superintendents and clients.
<br />
<br />Before joining Ryan, Kingery served with Lampbert Lumber in
<br />Fairmont and Redwood Falls, Minnesota, with assistant
<br />managerial responsibilities. He received a B.B.A. degree from
<br />Mankato State University with emphasis in construction
<br />management. Reinke is also a graduate of Mankato State
<br />University with a construction management major. Both men
<br />reside in the Twin Cities area with their families.
<br />CONSTRUCTION ON SHOREWOOD
<br />PROJECT SET FOR MID-OCTOBER
<br />Construction of the Shorewood Professional Center near the
<br />intersection of Highways 7 and 41 is scheduled to begin in mid-
<br />October, according to Windsor Properties, Inc. of Minneapolis,
<br />leasing agent for the project. The 16,500 square foot building will
<br />be adjacent to the Shorewood Shopping Center and will provide
<br />facilities for medical, legal, accounting and other licensed
<br />professional services.
<br />Owner-developer of the $1.5 million project is M.R. Properties, a
<br />joint venture of Michael T. Murray and Joseph E. Remain,
<br />both of Minneapolis. The general contractor is Benson-Orth
<br />Associates of Minneapolis, and Roberts Associates is the
<br />architect. Design Group M of Minneapolis is the interior
<br />designer and space planner. Financing for the project is being
<br />provided by AmFac Mortgage of Minneapolis, and U.S. Life of
<br />Dallas, Texas.
<br />BERMAN'S TO BUILD
<br />CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS
<br />IN NORTHLAND PARK
<br />Construction of a 170,000 square foot headquarters in Brooklyn
<br />Park's Northland Industrial Park has been announced by
<br />James Stuebner, president of Northland Development
<br />Company and the park's developer. Work has already begun on
<br />the $5 million one-story structure, which will be located on a 14-
<br />acre site at the intersection of 73rd and Boone Avenue North in
<br />Northland Park.
<br />When completed in June, 1982, the building will serve as corporate
<br />headquarters for Berman Buckskin, a subsidiary of W.R. Grace
<br />Company. Berman's began in Minneapolis as a family-owned
<br />deerskin product manufacturing company in 1946. Today the firm
<br />employs 550 people in 11 states and, according to Lyle Berman, a
<br />member of the founding family and president of Berman's,
<br />currently has 65 retail stores throughout the Midwest.
<br />
<br />Commenting on the project, Jim Stuebner said, "It is particularly
<br />gratifying to see a national company that has its roots in
<br />Minnesota decide to stay in the state, and maintain both its
<br />corporate headquarters and its principal operations here."
<br />Ready to dig at the site ofBerman Buckskin's new headquarters
<br />facility recently were Pat Dady of Rauenhorst Corporation;
<br />James Krautmeyer, Mayor of Brooklyn Park; David Otto,
<br />director of Operations for Berman's; James Stuebner,
<br />president of Northland Development Company; Chuck
<br />Turlinski, vice president of Operations for Berman's; and
<br />Michael Burgess, leasing specialist for Northland
<br />Development Company,
