Mr. Latvaaho was not present at meeting. <br /> <br />9) Legislation <br /> <br />City A~ninistrator gave the following comments on the meeting that the <br />City of Ramsey had with Governor Quie at 3:00 P.M. on September 8, 1981, <br />at the Governor's office. He stated the following persons were in <br />attendance at this meeting: <br /> <br />1. City of Ramsey: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilman Arnold Cox <br />President of the RBA - A1 Koenig <br />Businessman Don Greenberg <br />City Administrator Lloyd G. Schnelle <br /> <br />2. City of Anoka: <br /> <br />Mayor Bloomquist <br />Businessman Cotten <br />Representative of the Anoka Chamber of Commerce <br /> <br />3. State Officials <br /> <br />Governor Quie <br />Representative John Weaver <br />State Auditor Arnie Carlson <br />Governor's Chief Staff Renner <br /> <br />4. Other in Attendance: <br /> <br />Businessman John Skageberg - Vice President Goodin Company <br /> <br />City Administrator stated that the following issues were addressed at this <br />meeting. <br /> <br />How State taxes affect business growth in Minnesota. He stated <br />90~ o~ the time with the Governor covered this issue. He stated <br />the above business people did a fine job getting their point to <br />the Governor. <br /> <br />2. State Local Aid to Cities. He stated approximately 10% of the <br /> time was spent on this isSUe with the Governor. <br /> <br />He further stated that a considerable amount of time was spent <br />discussing the above issues with the Governor's Chief of Staff, <br />Mr. Renner, State Auditor Arnie Carlson and Repres~ntat~e~John <br />Weaver.
