Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Dunn, <br />Zimmer,an, Deemer, Ellis and Schneider. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Co,~nissioner Dunn, seconded by Commissioner Sclmeider, to <br />reco,,nend City Council deny Mr. Schmidt's request to rezone to B-1 based <br />on the Findings of Fact. Further Discussion: Con~nissioner Deemer states <br />that he likes the concept Mr. Sckmidt and Mr. Muller have presented and <br />would like to see additional business come into the co~nunity and that <br />~mybe PUD for this area is advisable. Commissioner Dunn disagrees golf <br />course requires some open land but a shopping center is a shopping center. <br />Co~aissioner Schneider - With the exception of #15 in the Findings of Fact, <br />I feel that the parcel of land could support this type of business but the <br />existing Comprehensive Plan ties our hands. There are other areas presently <br />zone B-1 to accommodate a hopping center in the City of Ramsey. Commissioner <br />ZJ~nmerman - Area around 153rd Avenue has been zone B-1 for years and it <br />has not worked. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Dunn and <br />Schneider. Voting No: Commissioners Deemer, Ellis and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg - Technically, the motion failed because of a tie vote. <br /> <br />Commissioner Schneider - A decision has to be made regarding this particular <br />corner. If the shopping center is denied, there will be more requests for <br />proposed uses for this Corner. <br /> <br />'Art Brown - Coon Rapids Clinic was denied. Dr. Anderson was denied. Be <br />consistent and fair. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner sChneider, seconded by Commissioner Deemer, that <br />upon approval of City Council, the Comprehensive Plan be reviewed regarding <br />the corner of 16?th Avenue N.W. and State Highway #47. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners limn, <br />Deemer, Zimmerman, Ellis and Schneider.
