I I I I i I I i I I I I I I i I 4) Karol Andreason Re: Preparing and Delivering of Pizza Within the City: Councilmember Sorteberg - Karol Andreason should be required to apply for a Home Occupation Permit from the Planning and Zoning Commission. 5) Subdivision by Metes and Bounds, Request For; Case of Mr. Paul Chicoine: Mayor Gamec - City is trying to discourage subdivision by metes and bounds and would rather go with platting. Either way, you have to hire a surveyor and platting is much more sound legally. 6) Moroz Hardware Site and Design Plan Mr. Moroz business. requesting approval of Site and Design Plan to expand place of Councilmember Cox informed Mr. b~roz that he will also have to comply with City Ordinance to be effective January of 1982, and provide air for his customers. Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg, to approve of Mr. Moroz's Site and Design Plan and that he be required to have an air compressor on the premises. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Cox, Reimann, Van Wagner and Sorteberg. Voting No: Mayor Gamec (Do not feel approval of Site and Design Plan should be granted on the basis of whether or not Mr. Moroz provides air). 7) Sanitary Sewer Waste Sludge: Councilman Cox brought up to the Ramsey City Council about the Metro Council Breakfast Meeting he and the City Administrator attended at the Sportsman Restaurant in Coon Rapids on October 7, 1981. Mr. Cox stated that Mr. Donald Simpson, Metro Waste Control Commissioner spoke about the difficulties they are having disposing of the waste sludge at Pigs Eye Island. He stated the land will only take so much of the sludge because it has industrial contaminants in it. The residential waste do not cause this problem. Councilman Cox stated he asked Mr. Simpson why they didn't separate the residential sewage and industrial sewage in the new suburbs so that they didn't cont%nue to multiply the problem. Councilman Cox stated that Mr. Simpson seemed receptive to this idea. Council action on this case was to direct the City Administrator to write a letter to Mr. Simpson, Metro Waste Control Commissioner, and see if they would consider building a lagoon in Ramsey which would handle residential waste material as this would be a possible start in the right direction to solve a problem that gets more unmanageable each day for the Metro Waste Control Commission. 8) Zoning Councilman Cox discussed the possible problems of allowing the construc- tion of a residential dwelling in an industrial zoned area.
