PLANNING AND ZONING CO~¢{ISSION <br />PUBLIC ItFARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A public hearing regarding Wes Bulen's request for rezoning from R-1 <br />to B-1 was called to order at 7:39 P.M. by Chairman Peterson at the <br />Ramsey ~nicipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Kenneth Peterson, Chairman <br />Mr. Benjamin Deemer <br />Mr. Arthur Dunn <br />Mr. Gerald Zimmerman <br />Mr. ltarry Ellis <br />Mrs. Kathy Schneider <br /> <br />Others Present: Building Official Berg <br /> <br />Men, ers Absent: Mr. Ronald West <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson called for comments from the audience or the Co=nission. <br /> <br />Art Brown -- Administrator/Coon Rapids Clinic -- I am opposed to the <br />proposed golf course at the site designated. There is undeve]oped B-1 <br />property in the City of Ramseywhich should be utilized. <br /> <br />Charles Klein - 5551 164th Lane - If the rezoning request is approved, and <br />the proposed golf course falls through, is Mr. Bulen going to be allowed <br />to bring in any other type of business on that property? <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson - Any business that would apply to B-1 can go in there. <br /> <br />Mr. Berg - Proposed golf course is going to have two zonings -- B-1 will <br />be for that section required for clubhouse and a special zone for the <br />course itself. <br /> <br /> Wayne Jeffrey - 15921 Kamacite - Manager of Ramsey Drug - I am concerned <br /> about the deviation from theM aster Plan that was set forth by the Met <br />· Council, after several of us have spent considerable time and money to <br /> comply. <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson - If we approve any rezoning, the change will have to <br />be amended in the Master Plan and approved by the Met Council. <br /> <br />Public hearing closed at 7:47 P.M. <br /> <br />P & Z/October 6, 1981 <br /> Public Hearing <br /> Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
