Construction of the plant had begun January of 1981, with the first product being produced in July, 1981. The second year of operation ~be plant doubled in size. Precast insulated panels and hollow core floor and roof plank are now being shipped throoghout a 600-mile radius of Minneapolis. Fabcon also b~s sales offices in Fargo, Sioux Falls, Wausau and Chicago. REIMER NAMED TO REAL ESTATE POST WITH RECO-SAUER DEVELOPMENT Richard H. Reimer, well known real estate figure in the Twin Cities and former Mayor of Maple Grove, has been named managcr of the newly-established Real Es- tate Division of Reco- Sauer Development Com- pany. The announcement was made by Gary Sauer, president of the Osseo-based firm. Reimer was formerly pres- ident of Reimer Construc- tion Co., a northwest su- burban homcbuilder, and the Reimcr Company, a real estate brokerage firm. For 15 years (1966-81 ) h e also served as Mayor of the City of Maple Grove. A 21-year veteran of the real estate business, Reimer is a member of the Minneapolis Board of Realtors, the Minneapolis Home Builders Association and the Maple Grove Lions Club. Reco-Sauer's Real Estate Division is currently developing an industrial park located west of County Road 18 on 85th Avenue North in suburban Maple Grove, and has completed construction of a new 4-story office and professional building -- Maple Grove Executive Centre -- at the intersection of Hemlock Lane and 1-694. Dain Bosworth, Inc. has arrange..(] permanent $3,400,000 tax-exempt financing for The Nicol[et Clinic to finance the construction of a 41,000 square foot medica! clinic facility in Burnsville. The facility will be owned by Nicollet Clinic Properties and ]eased to The Nicollet Clinic. The multi-specialty clinic will be built on the Ridges Health Campus, the site of the proposed 120-bed Fairview Hospital. The revenue bond was purchased by the Aetna Casualty and Surety Company. WESTWOOD ANNOUNCES DEVELOPMENT PLANS Westwood Planning and Engineering Company announced completion of the development stage plans and engineering specifications for a 124-acre office and limited industrial park in Maple Grove. This development is located along the west boundary of 1-94 and Bass Lake Road interchange, and includes up to 62 industrial lots on 73 acres; 5 acres of commercial property; and 46 acres of single family and medium-density residential property. The developer, Jori Nelson, expects to begin construction early in the spring of 1982. EVENSON OFFICE PARK TO ADD 80,000 SQUARE FEET Horizon Development Company has started construc- tion for a 30,000 square foot office building and has announced plans for an additional 50,000 square foot building, which will complete the Evenson Office Park Project with four buildings totaling 140,000 square feet. Architect for the development is David Todd Runyan and Associates of St. Paul. Tax exempt financing was placed by Gopher Securities for the current construc- tion. Gay Realty, Inc. of Roseville is the agency for leasing and managing the entire project. NORTHLAND MORTGAGE ARRANGES PERMANENT FINANCING FOR EDEN PARK Northland Mortgage Company announced it has arranged construction and permanent financing with Jerry Portnoy, president of GSB Investments, for the Eden Park Business Center. The project, located on Washingten Avenue South and West 76th Street in Edina, will have two office-warehouse buildings which will each consist of 37,000 square feet. The financing (in excess of $2 million for both construction and permanent loans) was arranged by Northland Mortgage through North- western Mutual Life Insurance Company.
