Explained Mr. Schmidt.could not <br />be present due to illness. Presented copies of artist's drawing of the <br />propose~ shopping center. <br /> <br />Art Brown - Administrator/Coon Rapids Clinic - Speaking on behalf of <br />Dr. Jankowski andDr. Rodman of the RamseyMedical Center, we also <br />approached you with a request for rezoning, of the area in quest for a <br />million-dollar project. We were denied. Dr. Anderson's request for <br />reqoning for a dental clinic at this site was also denied. We complied <br />with Master Plan and developed on property already designated B-1. <br />There are some 2½ square miles of undeveloped B-1 property adjacent to <br />the Ramsey Medical Center. Commission should encourage development in <br />area already zoned B-1. <br /> <br />Robert Muller - Did Coon Rapids Clinic ever apply for rezoning? <br /> <br />Art Brown - Yes we did and we were denied. <br /> <br />Robert Muller - I served on the City Council at that time, and I don't <br />recollect a from application from you for rezoning. <br /> <br />Art Brown - We conversed with several City Officials and were told we <br />would be turned down if we put in a request for rezoning. <br /> <br />Robert Muller - Our proposed location is a viable commercial corner <br />and times do change. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at ?:55 P.M. <br /> <br />Z/October 6, 1981 <br />Public Hearing <br /> Page 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
