AREA FOR 150' SETBACK TO CONSTRUCT <br /> <br />CASE ~5: <br /> <br />A HOUSE, REQUEST FOR; CASE OF RANDY ELOFSON: <br /> <br />According to enclosure (D3-d), it appears we should have been <br />having Council grant a variance where the setback is less than <br />200 feetI all along. However, I don't ever recall seeing those <br />above Interim R~gulations they speak of and neither does Clayton. <br /> <br />Council Action: Your action will be to approve/disapprove of the <br />variance requested by the above party. The following motion is <br />submitted for your considerati~on ~%%t~n,g'on this case: <br /> Motion by Councilmember .~ .%/7 ~..~ and seconded by Council- <br /> member ~ . to grant a variance setback from the Mis- <br /> sissippi River of 150 feet in lieu of the required 200 feet <br /> to Mr. Randy Elofson to construct a house on Plat 89234, Parcel <br /> 5910. This is granted on the basis that the City allowed a <br /> house to be constructed within 130 feet of the Mississippi <br /> River previous, to this request. Further, this variance will <br /> not create a problem in regards to the flood plain or the re- <br /> quirements of the critical area. ~- <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes <br />Voting no . <br /> <br />REQUESTING PERMISSION TO CONSTRUCT GARAGE PRIOR TO BUILDING HOUSE <br />ON LOT 1, BLOCK 1, ALPACA ESTATES SECOND ADDITION; CASE OF MR. MEL <br />WEISENBERG: <br /> <br />Mr. Weisenberg is requesting that he be allowed to construct a garage <br />this fall on the above lot and then next spring he intends to build <br />a house. Since I have been here in Ramsey, the Council's policy has <br />been to allow no one to build a garage without taking out a house <br />building permit. <br /> <br />Council Action: Your action will be to approve/disapprove the above <br />request.
