The neighbors <br />specific reasons for opposition included: <br /> <br />a) Increased traffic would cause a threat to neighborhood' ' <br /> children. <br /> <br />b) Trash from the superette will be thrown in the ditches <br /> <br />c) Children from the Ramsey Elementary School will be drawn <br /> to the superette creating a hazard to them. <br /> <br />10) That any traffic increase will at most be minimal as the proposed use <br />is that of a convenience store, and not a use which, on its own, will <br />generate traffic to come to the area. Typically, the customers of such <br />a use are those people already travelling past the business. <br /> <br />Il) That Ramsey Elementary School has a policy of not permitting children <br />to leave the school grounds during school hours. <br /> <br />12) That the Ramsey Elementary School and the proposed use are over 1,000 <br />feet apart, on opposite sides of County Highway #5. The posted speed <br />limit on this highway in the area is 55 M.P.H. <br /> <br />13) That a marked cross walk across Highway #5 exists in front of the <br />school, notice of the school is posted on Highway #5 and the speed limit <br />of.45 M.P.H. on Highway #5 is posted in the school area. <br /> <br />14) That the proposed use does/does not have an adverse impact on the <br />following criteria as prescribed by Section 170.015F of the City Code: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />Site analysis <br />soil type <br />vegetation preservations <br />topography <br />drainage <br />internal circulations <br />adjacent thoroughfare <br />utilities <br />sewage disposal <br /> <br />Development concepts <br />land use relationships <br />open space <br />parking <br />landscaping <br />access <br /> <br /> <br />
