I I I I I I I Ramsey City Council 15153 Nowthen Blvd. Ramsey, mn. 55303 In Regards To Superette with gas service Dear Council Members; We were unablE-to attend the public hearing portion of the meeting on August 25, to tell you our concerns about the possibility of James Refrigeration building a superette with gas service. Our concerns include the following: Litter,noise,traffic on Nowthen Blvd and 153RD Ave., property value, crime and a general feeling in the neighborhood that this is an undesirable project. Some of our reasons for concern ar~ very obvious. Who is going to pick up the litter? What is this 'going to do to our property value? What type of people will be going to this store? Especially late evening? Will this increase the crime rate in the area? Superettes are frequently victimized. As far as the need for such a store is not Bob's Supervalue close enough? At the meeting you discussed the traffic on Nowthen Blvd but what about the traffic on 153Rd Ave.? This street in our opinion, is not capable of handling any cross-over traffic created by a superette. There is already a speeding problem . Also with the hill on 153RD it makes it very hard to see any length in advance on this road. This makes it very dangerous, as it stands, for the 'children in the n neighborhood. If'the superette is built we are. afraid the increase in traffic on 153RD Ave. would be very hazardeOus for adults and children alike. 153RD Ave. is the only close streeL for cross-over between 47 and Nowthen Blvd in the area of the proposed superette. If the superette is built the increased traffic and noise would make 153RD Ave. a very unpleasant street to live on. We ~,k you kindly not to allow the superette to be built.
