TO:
FROM:
RE:
DATE:

City Administrator

Public Works Superintendent

Traffic Control at 180th Avenue and Iodine Street NW
August 10, 1981

I took traffic counts at this location on three sides of ~_he inter-
section. The re'sults are as follows:

Iodine Street, South of T.H. 47
Iodine Street, South of 180th Avenue
180th Avenue, West of Flourine Street

40 cars daily
30 cars daily
32 cars daily

With this small amount of cars using these roads, I see no need for
any signs at this intersection. The visibility i~ excellent from
all four directions. The only signs needed for this area are 30 m.p.h.
speed limit and possibly a "No Thru Traffic" sign on Iodine Street,
just off of T.H. 47 to discourage thru traffic on this street, although
I don't think 30 cars a day (24 hours) is too much of a burden to bear.

Merle Mevissen
Public Works Superintendent
