I
I

I
I
I
I
I
'1

i
I
I
I

I ,

TO: City Council

FROM:~ Public Works Supintendent

DATE: August 27, 1981
RE: Striping of M.S.A. Streets

I have received numerous complaints about not having center lines
on certain streets in the City of Ramsey, so I got some prices from
Anoka County to see what the cost would be so Council can decide if
they want to get started on this program. This year, material cost
is about $61.00 per mile and labor and equipment cost $50.00 per
hour. 17here is also an extra charge for hazards such as no passing
on hills and intersections.

I would recommend trying the program on 167th A~enue NW between T.H.
#47 and County Road #5 and also on Vamiolite Street and 155th Avenue,
west of County Road #56 for'a to~al of four miles and a cost of approx-
imately $400.00. This would be for'center line and hazard lines only
and doesn't include the white line on the edge of the road.

Merle Mevissen
Public.Morks Superintendent
