These costs are for the tire delivered
to their place of business. Goodyear does not have a fleet service,
but Firestone does at a cost of $10.00 per service-call, plus $22.00
per hour. There is no guarantee that a tire will be repaired the same
day that it is brought in and this could cause problems during the winter
months when they are busy mounting snow tires.

At the cost per tire times the numbem of tires repaired or changed per
year, the tire changer would pay for itself in approximately four years
and would still be in service for many, many years. The money is budgeted
for this item, so I recommend pumchasing at this time.

Merle Mevissen
Public ~orks Superintendent
