Case #1: Mrs. Astrid Guy - 14760 Bowers Drive

Councilmember Cox feels that Mrs. Guy's valuation is not a fair one, that it
is too much of an increase in one shot. Councilmember Sorteberg feels Mrs.
Guy's property is valued fairly, and even though the house is old, her property
for $56,000 would sell much quicker than homes listed in the $70's.

Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to leave
Mrs. Astrid Guy's lot valuation the same as 1981, in lieu of vintage of home
on the property.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann,
Cox and Van Wagner. Voting No: None.

Case #2: Mr.. G~e Adams - 4850 177th Avenue N.W.

Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to leave
Mr. George Adams' lot valuation the same as 1981 in lieu of steep slope of
lot to the river.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann,
Cox and Van Wagner. Voting No: None.

Case #15: Arnold Cox - 17705 Nowthen Blvd.

Councilmember Cox stated that his EMV was $63,000 in 1981 and increased to
$68,300 in 1982. 'He further stated that he is not asking for any reduction,
that market values are getting right up around 100%, that we should insist that
other areas in the State be assessed the same as Ramsey. Ramsey is taxed top
buck and there are areas in Minnesota that are not.

MAYOR/COUNCIL INPUT

Councilmember Sorteberg stated that he would like to see a letter from the
State that dictates we have to increase Green Acres 40%.

Council authorizes City Staff to request a letter from the State stating that
Ramsey must increase Green Acres valuation by 40%.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to
adjourn the Board of Review.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann,
Cox and Van Wagner. Voting No: None.

Board of Review adjourned at 10:29 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,

Sylvia Frolik
Council Secretary

BoR/June 1, Page 5
