South Frontage Rd Extension from Traprock St to Ramsey Blvd - Project 3-1-1
The 2014 Riverdale Dr. extension concept would extend the south frontage road system to Traprock St., leav-
ing a short segment remaining between Traprock St. and Ramsey Blvd.. This concept could fill in the missing
link and provide a continuous local street network for access to the new Armstrong interchange from the
south. The project could close the Traprock St. access to Highway 10 and route vehicles to Ramsey Blvd. to
access the highway. This frontage road could also help provide access to the north side of the Mississippi
West Regional Park.
2. Civic Center Dr. Extension to Ramsey Blvd - Project 3-1-2
The COR as currently built provides local access via Sunwood Dr. from both Armstrong Blvd. and Ramsey
Blvd. Constructing an extension of Civic Center Dr. from Rhinestone St. to Ramsey Blvd. would provide a
secondary access point along the east side and would lead more directly to the Northstar Train station. The
intersection with Ramsey Blvd. would likely be right -in, right -out access.
3. Purchase Right -Of -Way on North Side of Highway 10 between Armstrong and Ramsey Blvds -
Project 3-1-3
The sliver of land in-between Armstrong Blvd. and Ramsey Blvd., north of Highway 10 and south of the
railroad becomes very narrow approaching Armstrong Blvd. The narrowness of the available space makes it
difficult to provide access to the parcels via a local frontage road system. This project would purchase all
15 parcels in this area as they become available in order to remove the 14 private access points.
