City Engineer Westby replied they will be able to expand without delay. <br />Motion by Councilmember Johns, seconded by Councilmember Shryock, to recommend that the <br />City Council approve the Feasibility Report as drafted. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Riley, Councilmembers Johns and Shryock. Voting <br />No: None. <br />5.03: Consider Increasing Traffic Control Measures For Dysprosium St. Between <br />Nowthen Boulevard and CR 116 <br />Public Works Superintendent Riemer reviewed the staff report and statistics. He said he <br />received a call from a concerned citizen regarding the traffic on Dysprosium. He noted he spoke <br />with the Police Chief who said they could put out a speed trailer in the spring. The Police Chief <br />also offered to increase patrols in the area as time permitted. <br />Chairperson Riley noted there were speed bumps in the street at one time, which did not affect <br />traffic. He said he agrees with the suggestion of a speed trailer and increased patrols. <br />Motion by Councilmember Johns, seconded by Councilmember Shryock, to approve staff <br />recommendation to work with the Police Department to schedule placement of the speed trailer <br />in the area, and increased police presence as schedules permit. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Riley, Councilmembers Johns and Shryock. Voting <br />No: None. <br />6. COMMITTEE / STAFF INPUT <br />Engineer Westby stated the signal systems on Armstrong Boulevard will remain as they are until <br />the signal at the end of the westbound Highway 10 exit ramp is operational. The signals seem to <br />be working fine for the time being. <br />Public Works Superintendent Riemer announced the skating rink warming houses will likely be <br />closing toward the end of the week. The ice is getting rough. The rinks can still be used, but the <br />warming houses will be closed and the ice will no longer be maintained. <br />Councilmember Shryock relayed a question from a resident in the Ramsey Market area. There <br />are concerns about crossing Ramsey Boulevard in this area. Councilmember Shryock asked <br />whether crosswalk improvements could be considered in this area. <br />Public Works Superintendent Riemer explained that any crosswalk improvements would need to <br />be approved by Anoka County. <br />Public Works Committee / February 16, 2016 <br />Page 3 of 6 <br />
