5.02: Review Environmental Policy Board's Statement of Purpose and Consider Formal <br />Adoption within City Code <br />Community Development Director Gladhill presented the staff report. He reviewed two <br />documents that were available at the meeting, the EPB Year in Review — 2015, and minutes from <br />a joint meeting with the EPB and Planning Commission on April 20, 2015. He pointed out the <br />EPB's involvement has not resulted in the delay of any land use applications. He said the Planning <br />Commission is pleased with the advice that is offered by this Board. He said he wanted to be sure <br />the Statement of Purpose for this group is still applicable. If so, he suggested it be incorporated in <br />the City Code. <br />Councilmember LeTourneau commented he was pleased with the discussion that came from the <br />previous item. He said he was glad that item could be brought to this Board for discussion. He <br />stated as a Councilmember, he would support the Statement of Purpose as an amendment to the <br />City Code. <br />Chairperson Stodola commented this Board has become a contributing member to the City and has <br />more of a purpose. He recommended going forward with including this Statement of Purpose in <br />the City Code. <br />Motion by Chairperson Stodola and seconded by Board Member Valentine to direct Staff to being <br />preparing an ordinance amendment to incorporate the principals of the Statement of Purpose into <br />City Code. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Stodola, Board Member Valentine, Bentz, Bernard, <br />Covart, Hiatt, and Lewis Valentine. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br />
