Councilmember Kuzma stated that he could support Lucas Trossen for the EPB position.
The consensus of the Council was to appoint Lucas Trossen to the vacant positon on the EPB.
2.02: Review Strategic Plan
City Administrator Ulrich reviewed the staff report and provided a handout, which identified the
current progress of each item on the Strategic Plan. He noted the items that are moving along on
schedule and provided a brief update on the items that are running behind or have been delayed.
Acting Mayor Pro Tem Riley asked when the Armstrong corridor was added to the list.
Councilmember Kuzma explained that the item arose from resident complaints about noise.
Acting Mayor Pro Tem Riley noted that item should be prioritized to the bottom of the list.
City Administrator Ulrich noted that Highway 10 will remain top priority as if that road is
functioning well that will detour other traffic from choosing alternate routes before their exit. He
continued to review the status of the items included in the Strategic Plan.
Acting Mayor Pro Tem Riley noted that there was a lot of discussion in the Strategic Plan
process centered on the images of Highways 10 and 47 and believed that more priority should be
given to those items.
Community Development Director Gladhill stated that item would need further discussion as the
amount of work would be dependent on the resources available, noting that perhaps that should
be revisited in the budget discussions.
City Administrator Ulrich noted that progress with the image of Highway 10 would be the most
visible and therefore perhaps should be focused on first, dependent on resources.
Councilmember Shryock suggested changing the format in order to increase the readability of
the document.
3.
