e allhave stake in h .y47.t 4 "U'v-nu Ramsey Project description The Minnesota Department of Transportation will modify the concrete median at the intersection of Highway 47 and 142nd Avenue to improve safety for motorists traveling through the intersection. Due to a lack of visibility and resulting crashes at this intersection, the revised concrete median will prevent left turns from southbound Highway 47 onto eastbound 142nd Avenue. Left turns from northbound Highway 47 onto westbound 142nd Avenue will still be allowed after the project is complete. Purpose • Prevent crashes at the intersection due to a lack of visibility. The modified concrete median will prevent left turns from southbound Hwy 47 onto eastbound 142nd Avenue. • Southbound Hwy 47 traffic will instead turn left at Xkimo Street to reach businesses on the east side of Hwy 47. • Left turns at Xkimo Street are safer because of the traffic signal at Hwy 47 and Xkimo Street.
