6Th <br />of aeon <br />Homes for Generations <br />Properties overview <br />Aeon serves more than 4,500 people each year in more than 2,000 quality, affordable apartment homes. This is a <br />look at 36 of Aeon's 40 properties in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Chaska, Roseville and Brooklyn Center. <br />Fact Sheet <br />1822 Park 18 apartments <br />In 2008, Aeon completed the <br />renovation to create affordable <br />homes for formerly homeless and <br />those with mental health issues. <br />Aeon collaborates with Oak <br />Grove Care Center to promote <br />residents' health and wellness. <br />The Balmoral 58 apartments <br />Aeon carefully renovated and <br />restored this once -elegant 1917 <br />building. Details including door <br />hardware, fixtures and corridor <br />carpeting, preserve its historic <br />integrity. It earned Aeon a 1992 <br />Minneapolis Heritage Preservation <br />Commission award. <br />Children's Village Center <br />36 apartments <br />Children's Village Center opened <br />in 2004 as the first milestone of <br />the South Quarter development. <br />Near downtown Minneapolis, it <br />offers affordable homes for <br />families and individuals. <br />The Crest Apartments <br />122 apartments <br />Aeon's 2012 purchase of The <br />Crest Apartments has stabilized it <br />as quality, affordable housing for <br />residents and as a community <br />asset for Brooklyn Center. <br />901 North 3'd Street, Suite <br />The Adams 75 apartments <br />Condemned and boarded when <br />purchased, the Adams was <br />renovated and now boasts a <br />streetscape incorporating historic <br />lighting, attractive plantings and <br />public art to herald the entryway <br />to downtown Minneapolis. <br />The Barrington 26 apartments <br />At the request of Elliot Park <br />Neighborhood, Inc., Aeon <br />renovated this condemned <br />building in 1991. Aeon worked <br />with the neighborhood to provide <br />both homes for low -to -moderate <br />incomes and apartments that rent <br />closer to market rate. <br />Clover Field Marketplace <br />117 apartments <br />Clover Field Marketplace in <br />Chaska opened in 2008 as Aeon's <br />first suburban property. Designed <br />to ensure suburban residents have <br />access to affordable homes, it <br />offers mixed -income units, <br />commercial and green space. <br />The Coyle 26 apartments <br />At the request of former residents, <br />Aeon transformed this building <br />from a community liability into a <br />well -managed asset. It's home to <br />26 formerly homeless individuals. <br />Alliance Apartments <br />184 apartments <br />Collaborating with RS Eden and <br />Alliance Housing, Aeon created <br />quality affordable housing for <br />formerly homeless adults in a sober <br />community. The 61 homes at <br />Alliance Addition opened in 2011. <br />Buri Manor 38 apartments <br />Completed in 1987, Buri Manor <br />was Aeon's first development, <br />built in response to housing lost in <br />the building of the Minneapolis <br />Convention Center. It received a <br />Design Award from the City of <br />Minneapolis Committee on the <br />Urban Environment. <br />Continental Hotel <br />70 apartments <br />Listed on the National Register of <br />Historic Places, the Continental is <br />one of the last single -room - <br />occupancy hotels in Minneapolis. <br />Its renovation, including <br />preservation of its bronze doors, <br />won Aeon two city awards. <br />:1. <br />East Village 180 apartments <br />This award -winning Aeon <br />development creates a thriving <br />community in the Elliot Park <br />neighborhood. <br />The Archdale 30 apartments <br />This 1996 Aeon-YouthLink <br />partnership created some of the <br />first apartments for homeless <br />youth in the country. The building <br />underwent substantial renovations <br />in 2008. <br />Chicago Avenue Apartments <br />60 apartments <br />An enclosed outdoor play area is <br />one feature of these three <br />buildings, all renovated by Aeon. <br />Others include a computer <br />resource room and Aeon staff to <br />help residents connect to <br />educational opportunities. <br />Crane Ordway 70 apartments <br />Aeon has renovated this <br />historic warehouse building in <br />downtown St Paul to create 70 <br />affordable efficiency units for <br />working adults.
