6Th of aeon Homes for Generations Properties overview Aeon serves more than 4,500 people each year in more than 2,000 quality, affordable apartment homes. This is a look at 36 of Aeon's 40 properties in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Chaska, Roseville and Brooklyn Center. Fact Sheet 1822 Park 18 apartments In 2008, Aeon completed the renovation to create affordable homes for formerly homeless and those with mental health issues. Aeon collaborates with Oak Grove Care Center to promote residents' health and wellness. The Balmoral 58 apartments Aeon carefully renovated and restored this once -elegant 1917 building. Details including door hardware, fixtures and corridor carpeting, preserve its historic integrity. It earned Aeon a 1992 Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Commission award. Children's Village Center 36 apartments Children's Village Center opened in 2004 as the first milestone of the South Quarter development. Near downtown Minneapolis, it offers affordable homes for families and individuals. The Crest Apartments 122 apartments Aeon's 2012 purchase of The Crest Apartments has stabilized it as quality, affordable housing for residents and as a community asset for Brooklyn Center. 901 North 3'd Street, Suite The Adams 75 apartments Condemned and boarded when purchased, the Adams was renovated and now boasts a streetscape incorporating historic lighting, attractive plantings and public art to herald the entryway to downtown Minneapolis. The Barrington 26 apartments At the request of Elliot Park Neighborhood, Inc., Aeon renovated this condemned building in 1991. Aeon worked with the neighborhood to provide both homes for low -to -moderate incomes and apartments that rent closer to market rate. Clover Field Marketplace 117 apartments Clover Field Marketplace in Chaska opened in 2008 as Aeon's first suburban property. Designed to ensure suburban residents have access to affordable homes, it offers mixed -income units, commercial and green space. The Coyle 26 apartments At the request of former residents, Aeon transformed this building from a community liability into a well -managed asset. It's home to 26 formerly homeless individuals. Alliance Apartments 184 apartments Collaborating with RS Eden and Alliance Housing, Aeon created quality affordable housing for formerly homeless adults in a sober community. The 61 homes at Alliance Addition opened in 2011. Buri Manor 38 apartments Completed in 1987, Buri Manor was Aeon's first development, built in response to housing lost in the building of the Minneapolis Convention Center. It received a Design Award from the City of Minneapolis Committee on the Urban Environment. Continental Hotel 70 apartments Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Continental is one of the last single -room - occupancy hotels in Minneapolis. Its renovation, including preservation of its bronze doors, won Aeon two city awards. :1. East Village 180 apartments This award -winning Aeon development creates a thriving community in the Elliot Park neighborhood. The Archdale 30 apartments This 1996 Aeon-YouthLink partnership created some of the first apartments for homeless youth in the country. The building underwent substantial renovations in 2008. Chicago Avenue Apartments 60 apartments An enclosed outdoor play area is one feature of these three buildings, all renovated by Aeon. Others include a computer resource room and Aeon staff to help residents connect to educational opportunities. Crane Ordway 70 apartments Aeon has renovated this historic warehouse building in downtown St Paul to create 70 affordable efficiency units for working adults. The two street - facing historic facades have remained unchanged.
