After minor grade modifications necessary for the new trail link, native grasses and wildflowers <br />will be planted, and also a small rain garden demonstration project will be created in boulevard <br />area. After the 2 to 4 year establishment period for the plantings, the new pollinator -friendly <br />habitat will look something like the two examples below: <br />More information on this project and its many benefits, may be found under the April 19th Public <br />Works Committee agenda on the City's web site, or by contacting me via phone or e-mail. <br />The last dimension of this project and also the subject of this invitation to you, is the planting of <br />three oak trees on the site. This is scheduled for 6:30 PM on May 12th, 2016 and will also include <br />the Park and Recreation Commission regular monthly meeting in your neighborhood. This tree <br />planting shall be the City's 2016 Arbor Day event, and we encourage you and your family to <br />participate in this informal affair.
