The submittal consists of 5 sheets prepared by Plowe Engineering, Inc. dated <br />February 15, 2016. We offer the following comments on these plans: <br />1. The drainage narrative indicates 1 acre of new bituminous is being added. This project <br />will require a permit from the Lower Rum River Watershed Management Organization. <br />Provide the City with a full copy of the application. <br />2. An NPDES Construction Stormwater Permit is required for this project. Provide the City <br />with a copy of the coverage card. <br />3. A legend showing all symbols used on that sheet must be added to each sheet. <br />4. City sewer and water were recently extended to the building. The location of the water <br />valve and sanitary sewer cleanouts must be shown on the plans. If these structures are in <br />pavement, then the covers must be rated for traffic. <br />5. Ramsey City Details must be included in the plans for all applicable items that will be <br />installed on the project. <br />6. The project includes an infiltration basin. The basin must be protected from construction <br />traffic by installing fencing upslope of the basin. Excavation of the basin shall be done <br />with low ground pressure equipment to prevent compaction of the soils. Soil borings will <br />be required in the infiltration area to verify that there is 3 feet of separation between the <br />bottom of the basin and the groundwater elevation. <br />7. The surface treatment for the infiltration basin must be specified. <br />8. Ramsey standard details must be included in the plan set. Ramsey modified class 5 must <br />be used under the new pavement. <br />9. The SWPPP must be updated to show the training record for the SWPPP designer. The <br />information for the contractor must be added prior to construction. Provide the City with <br />an updated copy of the SWPPP after the contractor is selected. A copy of the SWPPP must <br />be kept on site. <br />
