Off.

Chairman Peterson explained that this was a hearing in regards to a request from
Mr. Phillip Kerssen for a conditional use permit to allow him to manufacture and
sell trailers as well as items taken in trade at his location of 14765 Nowthen
Blvd. Mr. Kerssen was asked to pr~sent his request. Kerssen asked how long
this permit would be for, and was told that it would be valid as long as the con-
ditions were met.

Kathy Schneider asked if he'still intended to take items in trade? Mr. Kerssen
replied that he would be taking in items such as used farm equipment, and that
he already had a license tolrepair autos, Kerssen also asked if he could have
more than three items on display along the road since he felt less than 6 or 7
items would hurt his business. He asked to have both used ~tems pl. us his trailers
on display. Ken Peterson explained that perhaps Kerssen should be applying for
a urban development permit i!f he plans for such an extensive operation. Kerssen
stated that he did not want to get that involved and would be satisfied with a
stipulation limiting the number of items on display to 3. Kerssen asked about
the sign ordinance, and Clayton Berg read the section of the ordinance that applied,
and Kerssen stated that a sign of his would never be as large as the maximum
allowed by the ordinance.

Ken Peterson asked for additional input. Public Hearing adjourned 7:40 p.m.

Please Note: Actual legal notice for hearing stated that hearing was strictly
to consider manufacturing and sales of trailers. Legal notice did not include
any mention of repair or sales of used items.

Respectfully submitted,
Kathleen Schneider
