Churches do exist in the City in R-1 districts, but under different road <br /> conditions. <br />17. There is land presently available in the City Zoned U~which permit <br />a church use. <br /> <br />18. A statement was made by Rev. Reed in 1975, May 12, that the building ~/ <br />would be tempory use only. ~ ~-/~_ /~_~/~/7 <br />No objection by both parties represented as to findings of facts O /~zz~zz~~_ ~ <br />Pete Raatikka, City Engineer presented his Soil Tests Report. There is <br />adequate area for sewage system. 40% of the site is more than six feet <br />above the water table. <br /> <br />Ed Longfield, Church member, General contractor, presented a plan for a <br />new building. <br /> <br />Fred Van Klevlen, 6941 - 152nd asked about the septic system and stated']this <br />is not a walk-in church. There is a traffic problem. <br /> <br />Russell Ives, Sunfish Lake Blvd. would like to see a church in natural surroundings. <br /> <br />Attorney, Mark Schulte, is opposed to the church. The trend is away from where- <br />ever they would like to locate. <br /> <br />Motion by Bradley Bodle, Seconded by Ron West to recommend to City <br />Council a deny of a Conditional Use permit, based on findings of facts. <br /> <br />Voting yes: West, Bodle, Sorteberg, Zimmerman, Dunn <br />Voting no: none <br />abstain: Peterson <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Faith Baptist Church may rebuild on site, but not add-on or redesign, and <br />must do so within one year. This can be done without Council action. <br /> <br />Garnett L. Petterson - regarding land upage <br /> <br />Discussion - will come back at a later date. <br /> <br />Accessory Building and Uses <br /> <br />Motion was made to present to City Council recommendations for Accessory <br />buildings: <br /> <br />?arcels one acre and under: 1% of the gross lot, not to exceed 400 sq ft. <br />Parcels one acre to 2.5 acres: 1% of the gross lot size, not to exceed <br /> 1000 sq ft. <br />Parcels over 2.5 acres: 1% of the gross lot area, not to exceed 1500 sq ft. <br />Front design of accessory building to match front of house (color, brick, etc) <br />Require keeping commercial equipment and supplies inside building. <br /> <br /> Voting yes:Chrm Peterson, West, Dunn, Sorteberg <br /> Voting no: Zimmerman <br />Jack Menkveld - Request a rezoning <br /> <br />(Bodle left meeting) <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />A special meeting is to be called at a later date. <br /> Respectfully submitted, ~' ,~ <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned 12:10 ~.m. <br /> <br /> <br />
