Kathy Schneider opposed. Item 2. Variance request - Alex Werz. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Werz w~re present to explain that they purchased a 1 acre lot from J.D. Scott at 16960 Bison Street N.W. in Augus~t 1972. Now they have an interested buyer and because of the ordinance reqmmrmng that the 10t having to be recorded ~prior to April 27, 1972, they are paying taxes on a lot they csn not obtain a building permit forl Mr. Werz explained that Mr. Landol Locher was the attorney at the timei. and believes that they had paid half his fee on the transaction an~d "(~[ ~. ~' was never told that the lot was not buildable._ ~ ;~ :~:: -~ ~:: ~'" Gerry Zimmerman stated that Mr. Werz should have had his own attorney~ and would like an opinion from the City attorney in regards to t2hS. present sf. tuation. Mr. Werz state~ that he felt the City should grant a variance so that a house could be built in order to increase the taxes on the prope~y.
