CITY OF RAMSEY
PLANNING & ZONING
REGULAR MEETING

Planning & Zoning Commission
Regular Meeting
July 5, 1977 - Page 1

A regular meeting of the Ramsey Planning & Zoning Commission was held on
July 5, 1977, at 7:30 p.m., at Ramsey Elementary School, 15000 Nowthen
Boulevard N.W., Anoka, MN. 55303

III.

Present:

Tom Gamec, Chairman
A1 Sorteberg
Brad Bodle
Ken Peterson
Gerald Zimmerman

Also Present:

Phil Nereson
Pete Raatikka

Minutes of Regular Meeting May 2, 1977.

A1 Sorteberg moved to approve the minutes of May 2, 1977 as mailed, seconded
by Ken Peterson and carried 5 to O.

Ken Peterson moved to approve minutes of May 2nd (public hearing on Darnell
Blume permit), secondedlby A1 Sorteberg and carried 5 to O.

Brad Bodle moved to approve the minutes of June 6, 1977, seconded by Gerald
Zimmerman and carried 5 ~to O.

Minutes of June 14, 1977. Brad Bodle moved to approve the.minutes of June
14, 1977, seconded by Ken Peterson and carried 5 to O.

Robert Gfroerer, sketch plan for subdivision of part of SE ~, Sec. 11, T32,
R25, bordering Klemish Addition.

Pete Raatikka, Consulting Engineer, for the City presented his report on this
proposed plat. This land is zoned R-1 which is one acre at present. No new
roads would need to be constructed as they were built when Klemish Addition was
filed. City has a contract with Ed Klemish to have his roads paved by October
1, 1978. Owner agreed to pay cash for park donation. All conditions appear to
be in good order.

II. Preliminary plat of Klemish and Flores Addition.

This plat was approved on the sketch plan on May 2, 1977, regular P & Z meeting.
The preliminary plan is identical to the sketch plan as presented May 2nd.
Lots 1 and 2, Block 3 are deficient in width. A variance could take care of this.
Discussion centered around the blacktopping of streets as Mr. Klemish's
boundary is the centerline of 169th Lane N.W. It was brought up that some of
the adjoining land owners wanted to go in on the plat and thus clearing up the
blacktopping problem. However, it was too late as Mr. Klemish wanted to get
his plat approved. It is assumed that the adjoining land owners will be present
at the public hearing on 7/21/77 at 7:00 p.m., so that their feelings will be
made known at that time on the issue.

Review preliminary plat of High Point.

This plan is identical to sketch plan presented earlier. No action taken at
this time.

Public Hearing set for 7/21/77 at 7:30 p.m.
