Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #16-05-093 RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER #4 AND PARTIAL PAYMENT TO BRENNEN CONSTRUCTION OF MN, INC. FOR IP #14-30 FIRE STATION #2 WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion adopted on January 27, 2015, the City Council adopted plans and specifications and authorized advertising for bids for Fire Station #2; and WHEREAS, the bid of Brennan Construction in the amount of $3,135,000.00 was the lowest responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council on April 14, 2015 adopting Resolution #15-04-079, Brennan Construction of MN, Inc. was awarded a contract for said work; and WHEREAS, the following change orders have been submitted by BKV Group making the total contract amount $3,215,791.00; and Change Order #01-Labor in the amount of $10,403.00 Change Order #01-Material in the amount of $4, 098.00 Change Order #02-Labor in the amount of $21,795.00 Change Order #02-Material in the amount of $23,722.00 Change Order #03-Labor in the amount of $3,808.00 Change Order #03-Material in the amount of $2,271.00 Change Order #04-Labor in the amount of $4,869.00 Change Order #04-Material in the amount of $9,825.00 WHEREAS, the BKV Group recommends approval of Change Order #1, #2, #3 and #4- Labor and material; and WHEREAS, Resolution #16-04-093 supersedes Resolutions #16-04-077, #15-11-282, #16-01-002, #16-02-035, and #16-03-036; and WHEREAS, as of March 31, 2016, $2,993,235.30 has been paid to date; and WHEREAS, the BKV Group has inspected the completed work and recommends partial payments to Brennan Construction in the amounts of $41,515.22 and $51,580.78 for a total of $93,096.00. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That the City Council hereby approves Change Order #4 — Labor in the amount of $4,869.00 and Change Order #4 — Material in the amount of $9,825.00.
