Public }{eardng
June 30, 1977
Page Five

Mr. Oamee explained that it could not be done as these litff!e lots in between would
need to be filled and septic tanks cannot be put on soil that is ffll.

~r. Steffen commented that he feels the plan proposed represents a very reasonable
compromise with large and small land owners and represents the best interests of
the City. Ne said that he owns no property in Ramsey and has watched the people
working on this and has seen no one showing any bias because they happen to be
land owners.

Lee Peterson, 15971 Dalomite, said he was sure there are many citizens in the city
who would prefer something even larger than the 2-1/2 acres. He said one of the
reasons he moved to Ramsey was to have a little room.

Jim George, 2261 Fairoaks Avenue, wants to know what is the Musa Line and variations
of it. Dick Sha explained that it is a boundary that willbe established by the
Metropolitan Council and is asking Ramsey to thir~ about as an objective for their
planning in the year 1990. SO there shows an area left out of the urban planning
but is.included in the plans for the year 1990. }~r. George asked what zoning they
are going by and Mr. Sha told:him the existing zoning.

~r. Steffen said that the Musa line does not affect zoning but eventually may affect
urban development.

J~.m Mulroy, 7700 169th Lane, is wondering if anything can be done to make sure
all the houses built in Golden~ Eagle Estates do not look alike. ~r. Gamec said
that it seems that it is the style of the house that people like and they buy or
build it. ~r. Gamec said thatL he would hate to regulate the kind of house that
a person builds.

Jean Schl~eter, Juniper Ridge Dr, had comments about the land directly adjacent to
the river east of Highway ~7 and about arguments to D~ about keeping zoning as
it is on the map.

Mr. Nereson explained some of the guidelines about the property set by DNRand said
that because of some of the restraints some of the land. would be useless because it
could not be built on. In response to~a~ asking if some of the land could be
rezoned UC, Er. Nereson said that it could be or asked to be rezoned to anything
desired.

Ms. Schleuter asked what the stage of development is for the Mini Mall Shopping Center.
Mr. Gamec said he believes that it is all tied up in probate court because the woman
owning the property has passed away.

Tom Mkle, 15210 Waco St., asked what the difference between ~ ar~ UB is and what
the significance of the date 1990 is for urban area. Attorney Goodric~ explained
that ~B, Urban Multiple BusineSs, was to be somewhat of a buffer zone between
Urban Residential and Residential. UB, Urban Business, would sell product to the
final consumer.

~r. Steffen explained that we are projecting that urban uses with full urban
facilities will be in that southern corner by 1990.
