PUBLIC HEARING <br />HAMSEY TOWNSHIP PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br /> July 22, 197/, <br /> <br />Mr. Bodle moved Mr. Sorteberg be elected Chairman. <br />Mr. Springer. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Seconded by <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Mr. Sorteberg. <br />Present were Mr. Bodle, ~r~ Emmans, Mr. Pit%man, Mr. Springer <br />and Mrs. Guy. <br /> <br />Mr. Hall and Mr. Foster~ surveyor, were present. Wild River Es- <br />tates preliminary plat was the purpose for this hearing. Discus- <br />sion on this plato It has 66 acres with 52 lots, 2 outlots A and <br />Bo At the last Planning and Zoning Commission meeting a number of <br />changes were requested by this Commission. These changes were item- <br />ized in a letter from Oliver Associates. These changes were read <br />by Mr. Sorteberg and checked out on the plat by Mr. Foster to show <br />that each had been complied with. There is now three acres in parks <br />and we will receive th~ balance of the park value in cash. The <br />total amount to be donated in,park land would be &.62 acres. De- <br />ducting three acres leaves 1.62 or 3&.8% to be paid in cash. The <br />value will be checked out it seems to work out at approximately <br />$1,809.60 to be paid in cash. Mr. Springer recommended we accept <br />these figures. Seconded by Mr. Emmans. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Albin Peterson: He owns the land to the north of this plat. He <br />said the highest s~t was i~ the nurthwest cern, er, He was inter- <br />ested in the heighth o~? l&9th Avenue as it goes toward No. &7. Be- <br />%ween Yakima and Waco '~he road would be & to 5 feet higher than the <br />land to the north,. Mr~ Hall said this was true but that he had to <br />raise the road this high because Mr. Peterson said he didn't want <br />any water to drain on <br />foot heighth on this <br /> <br />Mr. Brom~ .~sked about a possible bridge by the County across the <br />Rum River at Industry ~Yvenue. It was stated that the Township is <br />in favor of a bridge a% the junction of #5 and #&7 as the banks of <br />the river are high here and Mr. Hall has left an easement for a <br />road from this junction down to the river to go to such a bridge. <br />There were only three ~eople in attendance at this hearing. <br /> <br />Mr. Springer moved we ~ccept Wild River Estates preliminary plat <br />after the changes that had been made according to our recommendations. <br />Seconded 'by Mr. Bodle. ~otion carried. <br /> <br />Hearing was closed at 9:]~5 p~m. <br /> <br />Respectfully su~bmitted, <br />Secretary ~/ <br /> <br /> <br />
