- 2- <br /> <br />to ~is ~.'~tisfaction. <br /> <br />Mr. Robert iqeary, 3664 Ensign Ave. ,No., New Hope, Minn. was pre- <br />sent with a plat which h~ called a preliminary sketch plan~n the <br />land just west of the dura River which used to be the Riley farm. <br />This is r~orth of the V[k:i.ng Council Boy Scout property. It has <br />135 acres with 4 park areas, two on the river, one which would <br />make two baseball fielis and a pond which is dry most of the year <br />but with a small possi.:oly 10 foot well it could be flooded for <br />skating J.n the winterti, me. It seemed to be very .well laid out. <br />It is cai. led Rum River Acres 3rd Addition and ~th Addition. <br /> <br />Mr. Anderson made a monism to the effect that he did not feel it <br />was practical to plant trees because if the developer was required <br />to plant trees on the o~ulevard there was no one to take care of <br />them and they just died [~ut if the home owner planted them, the <br />trees are e×pens~ve and ]~e would take care of them. Seconded by <br />Mr. Barstov~. Motion car:~ied. Most of the members seemed to feel <br />that after the homeowner had gotten other things taken care of that <br />a great number of them then turned their attention to some land- <br />scaping~ Also the elect-~ic companies cut down trees as the lines go in. <br /> <br />Motion made by M~:~ Ande~son to require $100.O0 per lot for the park <br />fund_ or ~/~ of the lan6 _a~cea but that it should be the choice of the <br />Planning, and Zoning Commission. Seconded by Mr. Bar,tow. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Motion made. by Mr. So~teberg that any developer of a plat be re- <br />quired to pay the Towr. ship for blacktopping the roads in his plat <br />at the rate of $~.00 [e? running foot to be divided between the <br />lots across', the stree~ from each other, said money to be paid when <br />each lot in sold.~ Seconded by Mr. Barstow. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Barstow moved plur~:bing permit fees be $8.00 each. <br />Mr. Andc~son. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Seconded by <br /> <br />Mr. Sorteb~rg moved w~ leave the building permit fees as they are. <br />Seconded bf Mr. i[usse]l. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Barstow moved we ~djourned the meeting.
