REPORT ON THE FEASIBILITY STUDY <br />FOR COLLINS DRIVE AND BEATT¥ STREET <br /> BITr~MINOUS STREET PAVING <br /> <br />SCOPE <br /> <br />The purpose of this report ]~s to determine the feasibility of upgrading <br />and paving the existing mt~e~ts and providing drainage to serve the <br /> <br />above referenced are~. <br /> <br />The project area lies withLn the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 19, <br />Township 32 North, Range 25 West, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />The project is generally b~unded by U.S. Trunk Highway No. 10 on the <br />Northeast and the Mississigpi River on the Southwest as shown on <br />Exhibit Ao <br /> <br />EXISTING CONDITIONS <br /> <br />The streets presently consist, of a rural street section with a gravel <br />or sand surface approximat~!y 24 feet in width. Ditches are non- <br />existent or inadequate ove¢ much of the area. <br /> <br />Drainage along a major porci~n of Collins Drive presently ponds in the <br />existing ditches and front yards on both sides of the street. <br /> <br />However, durin9 heavy rain~alls runoff from a portion of Beatty Street <br />and the north side of CollLns Drive will cross over the street causing <br />minor flooding on the sour% side of Collins Drive. Drainage from the <br />four southeasterly lots prasently flows across Lot 5, Block 2, Itasca <br />Heights and into the river~ The northerly portion of Beatty Street <br />flows into the ditch along U~S. Trunk Highway No. 10. <br /> <br /> <br />
