The committee asked st~ fit<) ptmme setting up another meeting as soon as possible. <br /> <br />Case #5) Citizen Fne for Fire Department Services Rendered <br /> <br />Councilmcmbc~ Elvig reported a citizen with concerns regarding a bill from the Fire Department <br />attended the committee meeting. 'l-'(~:r~y Robinson received a bill from the Fire Department for <br />putting out a fire on his property Ti~ere had been numerous problems with burning previously, <br />however, this tithe a fire started while they were gone. Mr. Robinson was very forthright that <br />they were in thc wrong, but felt ti~e bill was excessive at $600. The committee offered a period <br />of time to pay the bill, rather tlxar, ia one lump sum, but did not offer a reduction in the fine. The <br />recommcndatio~t of the committe:? is to allow a three month period of time to pay the fine, which <br />would be thc end of'July. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmcmber Zimn ~ennan. seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to ratify the <br />recommendation of the Fimmce ( ommittee for the case of Terry Robinson, 8650 181~ Avenue, <br />$600 Fine t'b~-Fi-,'c Department S~ trices Rendered. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Votir;g '.',io: None, <br /> <br />Case #5: Report from Pets m~ml Committee <br /> <br />Councilmen~ber Cot~k reported th.-~, t'~:rso~mel Committee met and discussed the following cases: <br /> <br />Case ~q) Consider ~¢~ uthorization to Hire an Information Technology Manager <br /> <br />Human Resources Manager Reed 'eported that the City currently contracts with Local <br />Government {nfb,qnation Systems (L¢:)GIS) for network administration and desktop services. <br />included in ~he 2004 budget was a new position, Information Technology Manager, which would <br />replace LOGIS. !n Febru~,rv 2004 the Iq-Manager position was advertised. Approximately 35 <br />applications were received and six cm~didates were inte~wiewed.
