Chairperson Jolms stated shc thou~ht that was a good addition. She asked if it would "eat up" the available trail credit. Parks and Utilitic:; Supetwisor Ri'.'erblood responded he had not figured the cost; however, approximately $5,000 to ~¢10,000 w~,s eligible against the trail credit. There was further discussion regarding the location of sidewalks and trails. Motion by Commissioner ?ontius, seconded by Commissioner LaMere, to approve the Alpine Woods park dedication of ~57,200 artd trail fee of $14,300 and consider the sidewalk extension and the trails cradii eligible against hase two fees. Case #4: Ma[} on Sectim~ 3 o: Master Trail Plan Civil Engineer II /Jnton explained tlmt for the past several months, the Commission had been receiving draft sections of l:he Mas:er '['rail Plan, and directing feedback to LHB, the consulting firm assembling tim documel~ts. Tl,e process was generally on schedule and this month's review would consist of the chapter ,tddres ;ing the trail corridor descriptions and the draft trail map. He asked the Cmmnission to recommend amendments to any sections received to date, and provide direction on thc above two clement:. Civil Engineer !I l Jnton asked if th~.. C~mmission had any feedback on Section 3 of the trail plan. Chairperson .lohns noted lhe piece 'rot~ Lake Itasca (?) was not shown as a part of the plan. She asked if that was bu'ing abamtoned. Parks and Utilities Supervisor Riw:,rbl,~od explained LHB had done all of its draft work and the Commission had commented fbrmally and/or informally on those sections; therefore, the final draft relative to tile text was compl(:te xnd would be before the Park Commission in May. Discussion follow¢:d regarding the ~,s:: of aerial photography to obtain accurate information. Parks and Utilities'. Supervisor Rix, erbiood indicated there was a lot of work to complete after receiving thc accm'ate inf0rmatio~ obtained from the aerial photographs. The Commission should plan to make its revisions on the master plan after receiving the final draft, at which time a Council revic~w and/or a .joint m¢:eti% or single-topic meeting should be scheduled to discuss needed modifications.
