The changes in the information re~,arding this project were discussed. The total estimate was <br />now approximately $120,000 and h~: s~ggested the community might be engaged for donations. <br />He would obtai~ a 'tally regarding what 0art of the project used recyclable materials, which would <br />provide an opportunity for olber fimding resources. He anticipated bringing this back to the <br />Commission no later than June. <br /> <br />He would be working with an atnt nstmctor at the University of Minnesota at Duluth refining <br />some of the symbols discovered throughout the recycling part of the project. The curriculum was <br />patterned after what was used a'~ R amsey Elementary School, where kids were learning <br />relationships between the natural 'a. orld and people. These were conceptual ideas to move the <br />conversation tbrward. Formal prese,qtal/on would be given no later than June. <br /> <br />He referred thc Commission to page 6 of the provided information and noted the location was the <br />entrance to Alpine Park. An irri~ated space, concrete areas around the play equipment and <br />custom-designed play equipment w~,uht be integrated into the site. The goal was to mix natural <br />elements with mom formal elemen;s.
