CASE <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION FOR PROPOSAL TO DESIGN <br />REGIONAL COUNTY ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS <br />By: Brian Olson, Assistant Director of Public Works <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />When thc Cily oF Ramscy appr,>ved the development for the Town Center and the associated <br />Development Agreement, thc miti~mtion for the traffic impacts to the regional roadway improvements <br />included the rcconstruction of Ramsey Boulevard, Armstrong Boulevard, and Sunfish Lake Boulevard. <br />Attached is a pFoposal for cngineering services for each of the above mentioned road;vays by TKDA to <br />provide the fi hal design services. <br /> <br />The proposal t'or Ramscy 13oulevaFd has been estimated at an amount not to exceed $206,000. This <br />would entail the construction of a :!0re'dane divided roadway from 350 feet south of TH #10 to a point <br />1200 Feet north ot'CR #116. <br /> <br />Thc proposal tbr /\rmstro~g Boul~:vaFd has been estimated at $250,200 and that would include the <br />reconstruction to a, urban fburdan,~; divided roadxvay from a point 500 feet south of TH #10 to a point <br />1200 Feet norlh ot'~¢P, #l 10. <br /> <br />The proposal For Sunfish Lake Boulevard has been estimated at $152,000 and that would include <br />construction oF an urban lburdane divided roadway from a point 600 feet south of TH #10 to 1400 feet <br />nol-th oF TI I ~t I 0. <br /> <br />It is importam to re, aliT.,e that these cost:4 are for design services only and that when we get closer to final <br />construction clocttlnents and the bidding process we will be coming forward with an amendment to <br />consider contFact services and cons! Fuetion administration. <br /> <br />TKDA is an engineering firm thai, works very closely with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad <br />(BNSF) and has been recommended by the Anoka County Highway Department to perform these <br />services.
