R) ',SOI,UTION #87 RESOLUTION REQUE,~;TING COOPE].:ATIVE CONSTRUCTION FUNDS FROM MN/DOT FOR TRUNK STORM SEWE]( CONSTRUCT[~ON WHEREA~';, the cJ. ty of Ramsey submitted the trunk storm sewer project from the vicinity o:,:' Trunk Highway 10 and Ramsey Bouelvard to the Mississippi ){iver to Mn/DOT for cooperative agreement funds, and WHEREA~;, on Augus~ 28, _~.986, Mn/DOT approved the City's initial request for coo[~era~ ion agreement funds for fiscal year 1987, and WHEREA~';, on Augus~ ?, .].985, Mn/DOT published a Mn/DOT Policy Position. Statement in refer~nce to Highways No. 85-1 Cooperative Construction projects With ~ur~icipalities. WHEREAS, this position statement states that a municipality must initiate a cooperative construction project by indicating the municipality's intentioD to make certain improvements and requesting state cost parti(~ipation~ NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA CO[~NTY, M!NNE.~OTA, as follows: 1) The City of Bamsey proposes to construct a trunk storm sewer from the vicinity of Trunk Highway 10 and Ramsey Boulevard to the Mississippi ~iver. 2) The City of ~msey requests that Mn/DOT share in the cost of the project based oL the method of cost proportion outlined in the August 7, 19~5 Policy Pcsition Statement. 3) The Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a cooperative agreement with Mn/DOT.
