March 24, 19~! <br /> <br />TO: Mayor and City Co~cil <br /> <br />FRGM: Anne Norris, Co~m]uni~y ~velounent Director <br /> <br />RE: Highway 10 Corridor Study and 1987 CDBG funds <br /> <br />As you recall~ during the work sessions for the 1987 budget, the Economic <br />Develol~ent Commission and Company requested funds for specific activities, <br />including hiring a consultant to study the Highway 10 commercial-industrial <br />corridor. Co~unity Develq~[nent Block Grant (CDBG) funds are available to fund <br />up to $25,000 for this stud~y. <br /> <br />~ne Ramsey Economic Xk~velol~ut Con~oany has requested proposals for a land use <br />and transportation study ~,f the Highway 10 corridor from the Ramsey-Anoka <br />boundary we~%~c to Armstrong l~.~.evard N.W. <br /> <br />A committee of Company~ adv:.~o~y commission and City Council representatives <br />interviewed the four cons=litants proposing to complete this study. The <br />committee selected two fina3ists and after further consideration, recommended <br />that the City Council contract with the firm of Barton-Aschman Associates, Inc. <br />to complete the study~ usi~- ~)BG funds. <br /> <br />In addition, Anoka County ~s requested that the City indicate how it plans to <br />use its 1987 allocation of (DBG funds. During its budget sessions, the Council <br />recommended that these, fund~ be used for economic development activities such <br />as the revo. lvJng loan fund. <br /> <br />For your infon,~ation, attacDed are the following items: <br /> <br />1.
