COMPARABLE WORTH <br />Dave Hartley, City A~tministrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Since January of 1987, the Citf Council and Personnel Committee have reviewed <br />the draft report on comparable worth at a number of meetings. State law does <br />require that a report be produced and a plan adopted by the City Council. If <br />the Council wishe~ to make ameadments to the report or the draft plan, it may <br />do so. However, the City Council is urged to adopt a report and a plan soon. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Council adopt a comparable worth report and <br />plan in accordam:e with State 1. aw. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Approve "The Report on Co:aparable Worth in the City of ILamsey" and adopt a <br />pay plan which would correct pay inequities resulting in employees being <br />paid less than an accepta')le wage according to "The Report on Comparable <br />Worth in thf~ City of Ram~y~ effective June I, 1987. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Administrator .~_ <br />Attorney ...... <br />Engineer .... <br />Community Development Director ....... <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Public Works Superintendent <br />Other <br /> <br /> <br />
