JIH FRANKLIN <br /> By: Anne Norris, Community Development Director <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mr. Jim Franklin is requesting a conditional use permit to construct an <br />advertising sign (billboard) on Highway #10 NW. Mr. Franklin is proposing to <br />construct two 10' x 30' advertising signs immediately adjacent to Jack Kovar <br />Sales. Section 170.054 of the City Code states that "...free-standing <br />advertising signs shall be permitted only on the parcels where the su'bject <br />activity is located or within 2,500 feet of the boundary line of the parcel in <br />which the subject activity is located, but in no event shall such a sign be <br />placed on any parcel unless a special use permit is granted therefore."
