1) The addition of 114 megabyte drive with tape back- up. The disk drive completely installed would cost $12,712. 2) The City should consider purchasing a utility bill- ing system. Currently there's a system available that is proven by ComputoService at a cost of $8,495. 3) ComputoService also has a special assessment pack- age that comes in two modules. The initial data record module would cost $2,995 and would be used for building a special assessment data base needed by the City. The second module is a special assessment receipting module and costs $1,995. This module may or may not be needed by the City in.order to record prepayments of special assessments. 4) Ths City will need to consider upgrading the /10 processor currently used by the computer to a /12 which would improve the speed at which the computer processes the data. It is recommended that any additional processor upgrade be delayed until 1988 in order to allow for additional price reductions that are antici- pated in this particular piece of hardware. At this time the total cost for the addition of a disk drive, the purchase of the utility billing and special assessment packages would be $24,202. It would be recommended the City delay purchasing the second half of the special assessment module and wait until 1988 to consider any possible processor upgrade addition. Any costs that would be incurred for this particular upgrade of the computer that would exceed the available Federal Revenue Sharing Funds could be obtained out of the Administrative Trust Fund. The Administrative Trust Fund could also be used in 1988 to either purchase or finance a processor upgrade. Please advise if you have any questions concerning the projected Federal Revenue Sharing levels or the anticipated costs concerning the computer upgrade. NJG:sb
