This <br />technical assistance addresses issues aodiverse aapreserving natural reoouroeo, ensuring <br />that land uses are compatible with airport operationo, and reducing the excess flow ofclear <br />water into the regional wastewater collection system to save capacity for future growth. <br />Tbsupplement its traditional role 0freviewing local comprehensive plans, the Council <br />intends to expand this technical assistance and its information resources to support local <br />government |nadvancing regional outcomes and addressing 10d8y\ucomplex housing <br />challenges. Supporting local governments in their efforts to diversify their housing stock is a <br />new opportunity for the Council. Part III of this plan will outline these efforts in more detail. <br />oSttr robust, authentic public 8Dgag8080t <br />As called for in Thrive MSP 2040, the Council is creating a Public Engagement Plan that will <br />establish policy for all Council engagement activities. The plan will outline how the Council <br />will work collaboratively with constituencies to aooeoo and plan community engagement <br />by setting shared outcomes and expectations. Council staff and funding will support these <br />processes to assure access for all identified constituencies, but particularly those that are <br />traditionally underrepresented in regional and local planning efforts. When possible and <br />appropriate, the Council may support community organization work with financial resources <br />toengage appropriate constituencies.
