Mr. Raudio was notified of the permits required and he' has made application also <br />to the State of Mirmesota - see enclosure D4~(_a)~and (~b) <br /> <br />In the future, all sign permit requests will be sent through Planning and. <br />Zoning Commission. Your action will be to approve or disapprove the sign <br />being situated on Highway 47. The State has no problem ~ith the locaqion <br />of 'the sign as long as it is a certain distance from the historical site of <br />the old City hall and they will be checking this to ascertain that it is~ <br />Staff does not see any problem with the sign being located in this area~ <br /> <br />CASE #5 DONALD MILLETTE - REQUEST TO INSTALL A SIGN ~ Please refer to <br />enclosure DS(a) and (b). Your action will be similar to that of Case #4~ <br /> <br />CASE #6 SIGN PERMIT APPLICATION FORMAND PROPOSED FEES <br /> <br />Enclosure D~ contains the proposed form to be used in the fut~e for sign <br />permit applications. Also~ please review the enclOsed fee schedules and <br />present some recommendations on the amount of fees the city shoUld collect <br />for the sign installation~ Also to be determined if these permits will <br />be renewed annually. If they are~ they would be handled in a similar manner <br />to other city licenses. Anyone with a sign permit from 1979 for instance~ <br />who did not renew their permit for 1980 would be contacted and asked to <br />remove the sign if the permit is not current~ It is felt that through <br />this permit system that the signs could be inspected from time to ~ime to <br />insure that they are in good 'repair etc~ and legal~ Need you to recommend a fee to <br />the City Council. <br /> <br />CASE #7 PROPOSED MINING ORDINANCE~ <br /> <br />A proposed mining ordinance is enclosed for your review~ Please prepare <br />any suggestions or changes and indicate i~ you would like to forward this <br />ordinance to the City Council for adoption~ <br /> <br />CASE #8 BUILDING DESIGN AND SITE PLAN - REVISED DRAFT <br /> <br />Please read the revised draft and indicate if you feel ~ou would like to <br />see any further changes before it is typed into final form~ <br /> <br />CASE #9 PROPOSED ORDINANCE A~ND~NT ON REZONING <br /> <br />Please read the enclosed amendment to the rezoning section of the City Code~ <br />The primary change is that the Planning and Zoning Commission will be conducting <br />the public hearing thereby getting public input ~hich~will enable the Commission <br />to present a more adequate "Finding of Fact" for any amendments to the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />CASE #10 1980 BUDGET FOR PLANNING AND ZONING <br /> <br />Enclosed is a copy of the Budget form that has to be filed by August 15, 1979 <br />Please give this item immediate attention and be ready to suggest what type <br />and how much planning services, professional consultants, etc. that you foresee <br />for 1980. <br /> <br />INFORMATIONAL - LETTER FROM EQB-REGARDING ALPACA ESTATES - Please note that <br />the EQB reco~nends the denial of the Alpaca proposal. <br /> <br /> <br />
