7.03: Consider Adopting Resolution #16-06-121 Accepting Bids and Awarding Contract <br />for Improvement Project #16-36, Business Park 95 Regional Stormwater Pond <br />Improvements <br />City Engineer Westby reviewed the staff report and recommendation to adopt Resolution #16- <br />06-121 accepting bids and awarding a contract for construction for City Improvement Project <br />#16-36 Business Park 95 Regional Stormwater Pond Improvements. <br />Motion by Councilmember Kuzma, seconded by Councilmember Shryock, to Adopt Resolution <br />#16-06-121 Accepting Bids and Awarding Construction Contract for City Improvement Project <br />#16-36 Business Park 95 Regional Stormwater Pond Improvements. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers Kuzma, Shryock, Johns, <br />Riley, and Williams. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember LeTourneau. <br />7.04: Consider Adopting Resolution #16-06-120 Accepting Bids and Awarding Contract <br />for Improvement Project #16-00 Division A, Crackseal and Sealcoat Improvements <br />City Engineer Westby reviewed the staff report and recommendation to adopt Resolution #16- <br />06-120 accepting bids and awarding a contract for construction for City Improvement Project <br />#16-00 Division A, Crackseal and Sealcoat Improvements. <br />City Administrator Ulrich noted that these are preventative maintenance items and therefore the <br />City will attempt full utilization of the $500,000. <br />Councilmember Riley stated that each year the City budgets $500,000 for preventative <br />maintenance, noting that the previous year the full amount was not used and therefore the Public <br />Works Committee decided that the City should make a better effort of spending those funds in <br />order to keep up on maintenance. <br />Motion by Councilmember Riley, seconded by Councilmember Johns, to Adopt Resolution #16- <br />06-120 Accepting Bids and Awarding Contract for Construction for Improvement Project #16-00 <br />Division A 2016 Crackseal and Sealcoat Improvements. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers Riley, Johns, Kuzma, <br />Shryock, and Williams. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember LeTourneau. <br />7.05: Consider Adopting Resolution #16-06-126 Approving Plans and Specifications and <br />Authorizing Bids for Improvement Project #16-00 Division Al, Sealcoat <br />Improvements <br />City Engineer Westby reviewed the staff report and recommendation to adopt Resolution # 16- <br />06-126 approving plans and specifications and authorizing advertisement for bids for <br />Improvement Project #16-00 Division Al, Sealcoat Improvements. <br />Mayor Strommen asked if there has been talk elsewhere about a potential granite shortage. <br />City Council / June 28, 2016 <br />Page 5 of 10 <br />
